Cybersecurity and AI Conference: CKHH Takes on the Future Together
The age of AI is full of promise – but for many, it also brings new questions and concerns. CK Hutchison (CKHH) sees the promise and is moving swiftly and with resolution to mitigate risks and seize opportunities. It is doing this with enthusiasm, professionalism and an earnestness that does not inhibit progress but empowers it.
That ethos was palpable in the ballroom of the Harbour Grand Kowloon in Hong Kong mid-June as the Group convened a pioneering gathering of over 200 leading technical minds from across 23 countries, with every business unit’s top techies on site, sharing and learning from each other.
The Cyber Group Services (CGS) was launched in 2025 to ensure that all parts of the Group are equipped to achieve world-class cybersecurity standards, leaving no weak spots in the CKHH cyber armour. CGS is currently working with 16 business units across the Group, securing everything from 106 mobile apps and 192 e-commerce sites to over 34,000 laptops and 49,000 IoT devices. Vibrant ports, critical infrastructure, global retail, integrated telecoms and much more have chosen to work with CGS.
This vast technological network represents what Mr Frank Sixt, Group Co-Managing Director and Group Finance Director, described as a massive “attack surface” safeguarding “critical national infrastructure” and “vast troves of customer data”. He led the charge at the event, addressing both the cybersecurity risks and the structural upside of AI.
From all corners of the globe, the CGS team were joined by partners from heavyweights such as Microsoft and Gartner to incredibly niche specialists working hand in hand with CKHH business units to protect the Group from cyber attacks that are now an unfortunately normal part of the modern online landscape. But the promise of AI was also on full display as companies from Cenovus Energy in Canada to Hutchison Telecom in Hong Kong – now also an AI provider to clients – shared their innovations and best practices so that they could all learn from each other from the stage and in small discussion groups.
Mr Sixt said AI may create anxiety among the employees, but that the company should not ignore these concerns and respond with care. He encouraged everyone across the Group to use AI tools intelligently and ethically and find the right balance between human and AI to achieve one’s goals.
But no one at CKHH has to do it alone; events such as the Cybersecurity and AI Conference 2026 show that the CKHH way is to face challenges head-on and seize the day together.
