Trainees and Interns ... Assemble!
CKHH takes future talent seriously. In August 2024, it gathered that talent together in a “Graduation Ceremony” that saw trainees and interns come together to share their experience with CKHH companies. The trainees and interns worked at the Group’s Head Office, Hutchison Ports Holdings, Hongkong International Terminals, AS Watson, Hutchison Telecommunications, ESDlife, Hutchgo, Metro Broadcast and Hutchison E-Commerce. The interns were mostly from Hong Kong, but there were also students from the USA, Canada, the UK and Saudi Arabia.
The experience sharing was followed by networking games that enabled people to forge new connections. CKHH is keen to open eyes, open hearts and open doors for students and recent graduates to have the best possible start as they consider the exciting – if a little daunting – world of work ahead of them.

CK Hutchison is providing funding to support Hutch Sri Lanka’s giveaway of 200 e-bikes to distributors so that they can help to keep people connected despite the ongoing challenges affecting customer mobility. Of the local subscribers, 90% are using prepaid cards. But with fuel shortages afflicting the nation, people can’t get to commercial outlets that are distributors of prepaid cards and top-ups. The e-bikes will enable distributors to sustain the critical distribution network. They can travel the land, leaving connected people in their wake. Roll on, Hutch Sri Lanka, roll on.
